William Eloshway Obituary

William M. Eloshway, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1940, to the late Charles and Sophia Eloshway. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Kristen (Jimi) and Charles (Niki); grandchildren: Lexi, Sophia, Bobby and Luke; and siblings: Toots, Marge and Lib. Besides his parents, William is predeceased by his siblings: Mary, John, Gene and Chuck. William earned his Bachelor's Degree from Waynesburg College and then his Master's from California University of Pennsylvania. While at Waynesburg, he was the captain and MVP of the men's basketball team. Upon completion of his degree, William went on to become a teacher at Peters Township Middle School. In his spare time, he enjoyed officiating basketball and volleyball games, as well as umpiring for baseball and softball. He also liked antique cars, cooking and playing tickets with his daughter. William was a longtime member of the Arms Club and VFW Post 927. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
