Lawrence Allen Obituary
Brother Lawrence Allen was born September 19, 1958 to the late John Allen and Hattie Bailey Allen. He received his education in Duval County graduating from Samuel W. Wolfson in 1977.
He met and married Jewel Johnson in June 1978 and to his union two sons were born. Lawrence was employed by Yellow Freight Trucking Company in Dallas, Texas and Jimmy Lee Construction Company where he retired.
Brother Allen was a member of Mt. Moriah Faith Church. He loved the Lord and made it a point to share that love with every one he came in contact with. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Brother Lawrence Allen known as Bo entered into eternity on Friday, August 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hattie Allen; and three brothers, Richard Allen, Phil Allen and Melvin Allen.
Bo leaves to cherish his precious memories, two sons, Melvin Allen and Lawrence Allen, Jr.; daughter, Samari Allen; five grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Johnson, Betty Worthen and Mary Lee Dicks; three brothers, Herbert James Allen, John L. Allen and Walter Elroy Allen (Debbie); special friends, Fuddy, Frank, Donna Golden and Shawanda Edmundson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends who are not forgotten by are too numerous to name.
