Jonathan Chad Aldridge of North Myrtle Beach, SC went home to be with his Lord on September 12, 2024. His passing was very sudden and unexpected.
Chad's faith was very strong, having accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is now enjoying the joy and peace of eternal life, the promise that Jesus makes to all who believe that He lived, rose from the dead, is the Son of God and saves through grace.
His brother, William David Aldridge preceded him in death as well as his maternal grandparents, John Newell and Margie Aderholdt of Lincolnton, NC and his paternal grandparents, Victor and Joan Aldridge of Siler City, NC.
Chad is survived by his parents, Tom and Janie Aldridge; brothers, Vic Aldridge III, Andy Aldridge and his fiancée, Gillian Moore. He was known as Uncle Chad to his niece, Olivia Aldridge and nephew, Liam McConaughy. His cousins, Colonel and Ramona Shuford are very special to him. He shared a special bond with Alice Sturgill of Newland NC, as if she was part of his family Chad graduated from Waccamaw Academy in Whiteville, NC in 1997. He participated in sports, including golf, baseball and soccer. While living in Whiteville, he attended the First Baptist Church where he was very active in puppet ministry and other youth group activities, including World Changers.
Chad love sports and was a big fan of the UNC Tarheels, the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers.
A Celebration of Life of his life will be at Ocean View Baptist Church on Monday, September 16, 2024. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm at the church with the Celebration of Life following at 2:00 pm. Following the service, internment will be at Southern Palms Memorial Garden in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
