Allen Hughes Obituary
December 23, 1950 - November 25th 2023
Allen Lee Hughes, aged 72, entered this world in Phelps County, Missouri, born to the late Julius and Beatrice Hodges Hughes. He peacefully passed away on November 25th at his home. Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debra Wilfong Hughes.
Left to cherish his memory are his survivors: Roxane Hughes (Doug), Christina Hughes, Caitlin Wallace (Josh), and Emily Hughes (Nicolas). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, as well as his siblings Bill Hughes and Brenda Hughes.
Allen found solace in the tranquility of nature and had a deep love for fishing. Among his most cherished memories were the moments spent with his brother Bill while section hiking the Mountains to Sea Trail.
Allen's professional journey began with his service in the United States Army. Subsequently, he earned his master's degree in clinical social work, dedicating the remainder of his career to making a positive impact to society as a licensed clinical social worker.
In accordance with the family's wishes, no formal services will be held. However, should you wish to honor Allen's memory, the family kindly requests donations to Options of Burke County at www.optionsburkecounty.org. Contributions will support the organization's vital work in aiding victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Online condolences can be expressed at www.crowemortuary.com. Allen Lee Hughes will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the warmth and kindness he shared with those around him. May he rest in eternal peace.
