Springfield - Rita Wright,82, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 with her family by her side. She was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret Duperre. She married Thomas E. Wright and was proud to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Rita enjoyed shopping, jigsaw puzzles, caring for her pet dogs and cats over the years, cooking and spending time with her family. She will be missed by her beloved husband of over 63 years, Thomas Wright of Springfield, Kathleen Barrett and her husband William of Monson, Michael Wright and his wife Cynthia of North Carolina, Karen Coolbeth and her husband William of Wilbraham, David Wright and his wife Lynn of Norwalk, CT, and Nicole Wright of Springfield. She also leaves her 5 beloved grandchildren, a sister Elaine D'Angelo and her husband Ronald, and her dog Ruby, two cats Patrick and Troubles. All services will be held privately.
