Kristie Meece Obituary

KRISTIE LYNN MEECE, 52, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Kristie was born on February 2, 1972, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Steve and Susan Dingess and Joy Bradley.
After years apart, Kristie found her way back to her high school sweetheart, Paul Meece and they were married in 2004. A loving mother and step-mother of four children, Kristie was a generous soul who cared for family, friends and animals alike. With pets always near-by, she found the beauty in everything around her and if it wasn't there, she'd create it.
Kristie was a skilled nail technician who owned and operated her own nail salon. However, her true passion was rescuing and caring for animals in need. Kristie's larger-than-life personality and quirky traits leave a legacy of remembrance that captured the heart of every person (and animal) she met. She lit up every room with her infectious smile and big heart.
Her devotion and lifelong desire to help others created her generosity that knew no bounds. In her final act of kindness, Kristie was able to donate her heart and kidneys to save another's life.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Susan Dingess and Joy Bradley; her husband, Paul; children, Jordan, Logan, Paul Christian and Peyton; grandchildren, Tucker, Grayson, Kason, Owen, Addison, Tyson and Cameron; five nephews and two nieces.
A private service for family was held on Thursday, January 30.
