Edward Herbert Obituary

EDWARD KEITH HERBERT, 85, of Huntington passed away February 5, 2024, at his residence. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 10 at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastors Scott Duncan and Larry Greene officiating. Keith was born April 19, 1938, in Holden, W.Va., son of Ralph and Grace McCaffrey Herbert. He retired from ACF after 37 years as a welder. He proudly served with the US Army Green Beret and 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of River Cities Community Church where he served as a trustee. Keith would often be found building and fixing things, enjoyed coaching Barboursville youth basketball, football, and baseball for 19 years, and was happiest in the woods, mountains, and riding steam trains across the US. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and son Brett Herbert. Survivors include: wife Deborah Herman Herbert, sons Lance (Vicki) Herbert, Joey Robinson, and daughter Kim (Carlos) Maynard; grandchildren Mason, Hannah, Kayla, Breanna, Jakob, Sophia, Mariah, McCaffrey, and Emily; nine great-grandchildren and one special buddy, great-granddaughter Kobi.
