Fernando Escamilla Obituary

Fernando Rangel Escamilla

December 9, 1958 - December 18, 2021

Fernando Rangel Escamilla was born to Heriberto Escamilla and Clara Rangel on December 9, 1958 in La Paloma, TX. He spent his formative years in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico, where he finished his formal education and began his lifelong career as a professional driver as a young man.

It was also in Ciudad Mante, at the age of eighteen, where he met Victoria Barcenas, who he would marry and share the rest of his life with. The pair moved to the United States in 1979, where they would raise their five children, Juan Manuel, Heriberto, Fernando Jr., Rogelio, and Nayla, making their home in Justin, Texas. Fernando worked as a driver in Justin for Jus-Tex Enterprises and then Independent Environmental Services.

Fernando is remembered by his numerous friends as jovial, fun-loving, and loyal to a fault. To his family, Fernando will always be loved and cherished, and his family remains eternally grateful for the multitude of sacrifices that he endured on their behalf.

If love were the true measure of wealth, then there is no hesitation in declaring that Fernando Rangel Escamilla was a fortunate man. He is survived by a dutiful and loving wife, Victoria; five beloved children and their spouses, Juan Manuel (Keila Elkins), Heriberto "Eddie" (Leticia Escamilla), Fernando "Nando" (Tarrah Bey Escamilla), Rogelio "Roy" (Sarah Escamilla), and Nayla (Orestes Mederos); 11 grandchildren, Andrew Escamilla, Bailey Escamilla, Molly Escamilla, Mayah Escamilla, Hope Escamilla, Stephanie Victoria Drakes, Isaiah Escamilla, Maggie Escamilla, Gabriel Escamilla, Sophia Fernanda Mederos, and Arianna Escamilla; and one great-grandchild, Bradley Adam Robertson.
