Tamara HAUNUI Obituary

HAUNUI, Tamara Harata (nee Blackburn). August 28, 1939 - August 14, 2024. Tamara Haunui passed away peacefully in Whangarei Hospital. Her presence will be missed marked by sadness but mostly love from her husband, Wiremu, son, daughters and partners, Kevin and James Harcourt, Moana and Ash Pointon (dec), Donna and Rob Flett, Joanne and Guy Barton, her many mokopuna and guardian kuri, Whetu. The tangihanga for Tamara will be at Te Puke Marae, Raetihi from late Friday 16 August until the final service at 10am on Monday 19 August followed by the nehu at Raetihi Cemetery where she will lay close to her parents Harata Pone Blackburn (nee Williams) and Paora Katera Blackburn. Special thanks to Jo and Guy for taking care of Tamara in her last years. Thanks also to Whangarei Hospital, doctors and nurses for their care and attention. Love to all the whanau and friends for the messages received.
