Many happy memories of stopping at Darfield on our way to Timaru from Karamea when the roads were all gravel!! Wendy loved her horses! Used to record tape recorded messages for my brother and I if Dad (Uncle Ernie) called on his own to see his very much loved brother Uncle Doug! Used to visit Aunty Norma in Stoke.
