Valerie GIBBS Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Green Gables Care Centre on May 20, 2025, aged 86 years. Much loved mother of Cathrine, Anthea, Chris, and Pete. Dearly loved mother-in-law, sister, stepmother, grandmother, extended family member and friend to many. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Green Gables for their dedicated care of Val. A memorial service will be held for Val at Shone and Shirley Funeral Directors, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson, at 2.00pm on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Dear Val,. we didn't meet often, due to me being in the N.I and you in the S.I.
My memory of you, staying up late one night making me a shoulder bag, with long straps. I travelled around the world, your bag and I, and even now in the little things around NZ, I feel Val is not far away.
