Thomas MARSTON Obituary
Thomas Ramsay:
Tom passed peacefully at 1.00pm, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Nelson Hospital, aged 98, with his loving children at his side. Loved husband of the late Rona, father and father-in-law of Maureen and Doug Maxwell, Jimmy (deceased), Chris and Robyn. Much loved Poppa and Grandpa to Rona Leandra and Sven, Nathan and Alayna, Elyce and Liam, CJ and Andrew, great-grandfather to Maggie, Marko, Mackenzie, Tyla, Abby, Sophia, Emily and Bella. A very special man, neighbour, friend and support to many, and will be sorely missed. Special thanks to the teams at Nelson Hospital for the care and support given to Tom. Messages can be sent to 22 Greenhill Road, Wakatu, Nelson, or [email protected] A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Shone and Shirley, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson, 1.00pm, Wednesday, May 17, 2023, followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, Tom had requested donations be made to the NZ Cancer Society, either at the service or online at https://www.cancer.org.nz/donate-now. So sorry to read of Toms death. We were neighbours in Greenhill Road for some years. Both Tom and Rona were the most helpful neighbours one could have. Tom even rescued a terrified me from up a tree that I was pruning (heights not good!). Our sympathies to you all. Such a community spirited man was Tom

Tom was our Lovely neighbour for the 9 years we lived in Nelson.
We had some great times together with him , Mary and Frank.

Tom was a great neighbour especially to the late Betty Gaskell who was my next door neighbour. He often used to come over for morning tea and he always helped Betty with her tax. A great man. Thank you Tom.
