Shirley DUNLEA Obituary

Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on November 16, 2024, aged 78 years. Loved wife of the late Owen Nicholls (Nick) and partner of the late Derek Bartlett. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Brent and Karen, Karen and Craig, Nathan and Cherie. A loving grandma of Jason, and Matthew, Keegan, and Siena. A private service will be held to celebrate Shirley's life. Messages to 301 Main Road Hope, Nelson.

So Sorry to hear of Shirleys passing, I remember her with fond memories growing up down the sounds ( Trevor and Janet are my grandparents,i am Karens Daughter ) one thing that really stood out what was her fantastic Humour!!! rest easy xxxx

She did so much for us all.She ran some great iPad courses for us but she was always happy to help people and sort things out.Morning and afternoon tea is not the same without her. Shirley was a lovely lady and, initially I got to know her as a patient. But that relationship changed to one of friendship when I shared her and Nick's love of Penzance Bay and Mussel-farming. Losing Nick so early and so suddenly was a massive blow, but she battled on, survived, and lived for her family. She was so proud of them.
