I remember Sefton well. What a nice guy. He sold life insurance for a while as did I, so we had great discussions on the pro´s and con´s. Lots of laughter and teasing. Fun times.

To the Ferrick family. You may not have heard of me before but together with my late wife Jeanette (née McElhinney) we go back to the fifties where Sefton and Jeanette lived nearby on Cambridge Street Ashburton and played together and went to the same primary school. Later I worked with Sefton at Ashburton Borough Council in the sixties. Sefton was at our wedding and was our 1st dinner guest at our flat on Wakanui Road. Unfortunately we lost contact after leaving Ashburton until around 2015 when I was working at Timaru District Council and had heard that Sefton had the local shop at Upper Moutere. We called in and met Sefton still the same happy person. He show us his latest yoga moves and entertained us. Great to catchup again. We called in again but the business had been sold. Unfortunately that was my last contact with Sefton. He was a charming person and I really enjoyed his company. Please accept my condolences for loss.
