Russell EGAN Obituary

EGAN, Russell Robert:
Aged 85 years. Passed away peacefully at home in Richmond on March 16, 2023, in the loving care of his family. Cherished, beloved husband and friend of Anne and a dearly loved Father to Annette (Annie) Bell, Louise Egan and the late James. Respected Father-in-law to Steve Bell, Simon Taylor and Julia Egan. A proud and devoted Grandad to Joshua, Nicholas, Lachlan and Jack. Son of the late Ray and Maisie Egan (Timaru), and loved brother and true friend of Ray (Timaru) and the late Jack and Dulcie. Sincere thanks to the Nelson Tasman Hospice and the District Nursing Staff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at the service to the Nelson Hospice. A private family cremation service has been held and a Memorial Service will be held at
St Barnabas Anglican
Church, Stoke, Nelson, on Wednesday, March 22, at 1.00pm. This will be live streamed through the St Barnabas Stoke-Youtube channel LIVE. Messages to 6 Childs Way, Richmond 7020.

He and Anne have shared our Nelson Jaycee and Banking years, plus many home visits either in Nelson or with us on Gold Coast Australia. Russell was well remembered as a great member of the NZ & Canterbury Motor Body Builders Association now the NZ Collision Repairers Association , we will have his name added to the list of past members at the National Conferance in Whaganui this year, we are saddened to see of his death this week. I employed James to finish his apprenticeship at L S laycock in ChCh .
