SALMOND, Ronald Paxton:
Ron peacefully passed away after a brief stay at Summerset Richmond Ranges Care Centre, Nelson, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. In his 96th year. Eldest son of the late Pax and Bertha Salmond. Loved and loving husband of the late Frida. Cherished and loved Dad and father-in-law of Lucy Dewsnap (Upper Hutt); and Malcolm and Helen Salmond (Mahana). Precious and respected Grandad of Jessica, Harriette, Georgina, Charlotte, Michaela, Hamish, Claire and Nichola. Special great-Grandad of Tyson, Cruz and Jackson. Loved oldest brother and brother-in-law of Audrey and Evan Cameron (both dec); and Robin (dec) and Beryl Salmond. Loved uncle and great-uncle of his nieces and nephews, and a respected friend and neighbour to many. The family wish to thank all those who helped to care for Ron over recent months.
