Of Foxton Beach, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021. Beloved husband of Leonie, loved father of Nicki, Steve and Sam, father-in-law of Ollie, Esther and Berny. Loved grandfather of Lily, Will, Harry and Max. A celebration of Rod's life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11.00am, at The Manawatu Marine Boating Club, Foxton Beach. Warmest thoughts to you all. Rod was a very good friend at Nelson College and our paths crossed later at University. Who can forget his unshakeable good humor and his awe-inspiring determination. Oddly, I was writing some memoir thoughts about Nelson College and was about to describe Rod's astounding dexterity when I heard he had died. He was an inspiration and great fun.

So sorry to hear of Rods passing. He was incredibly helpful when working as an advocate for health & disability issues!! I couldn't have reached the outcome I did without his support & kindness!!! Deepest condolences to Leonie & all his family! RIP
