Robert Michael (Mike):
Unexpectedly on January 19, 2020, aged 71 years, in Tuvu Bay, Fiji.
Much loved and missed.
A beautiful service was held at his home overlooking Tuvu Bay on January 21, with friends and family. He went too soon to achieve all his plans, but his imagination and creativity live on in the many Nelson buildings he crafted. Dear Mike, I'm so sad to hear of your passing from your clever daughter Sally's Nelson magazine article. She is so like you too. I was shocked to see you had died, as I'd often wondered how you were doing in Fiji. My condolences to all of your family and friends. Thanks for all the fun times and for sharing all the stages of the then new Resort and the new products as they came out of the containers with me, especially those paintings. My favorite was the one soley made with feathers. We even shared our hospital visit together and the then new virtual barmaid that was going into use at the Resort. I had many happy times with you and The Honest, as I still call The Honest Lawyer. It was my other home up the road. I'm glad you came down for part of Christmas day with us at the Castle too. I have great memories of you and Fiji was blessed to have you over there too. I will miss your presence from our earth and us creatives bouncing ideas together. Minnie [Alie] Summer
