Richard PARKER Obituary

PARKER, Dr Richard
Hamilton Washbourn (Rick,
aka Ricky, Ricko, Paparika, Mountain Man):
Passed away on December 17, 2020, aged 68. Adored, cherished, precious and much loved darling husband of Ros Quick. Exceptional and treasured father of Sarah, Anna, Rachel and Dan. Beloved 'jokey guy' grandad to Finn, Cam, Immy and Patrick. Revered and much loved father-in-law of Matt, Lawrence and Rich.
An extraordinarily amazing and special man, who loved, cared for, inspired and entertained so many, who will be missed beyond words.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held in Golden Bay in January 2021, with details to be confirmed. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Forest and Bird will help Rick's dedication to and love of nature continue on. Messages can be sent to Ros at [email protected]

So very sad for you all. Rick was a lovely doctor - genuinely kind and the sort of person who should be a doctor. The kind who must have driven admin spare by the extra time he would spend with people. Thinking of you all.

The loss of a truly delightful fella. Loved his sense of humour. He was not my doctor but saw him several times when he was on call or a locum ..loved the fact that he would chat about anything & everything.
My sincere condolences to Roz & the rest of the family .
