Richard William (Dick):
Unexpectedly at his home on April 12, 2023. Aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Janet. Loved father and father-in-law of Jim and Sam, Diana and Garth, Nicola and Mac, and the late Andrew. Loved grandfather to Sophie, Penelope, Danielle, Ben, Olivia, Emily, and Eddie.

The friends of Dick are respectfully informed that his Funeral Service will be held at Marsden House Funeral Home, 41 Nile Street East, Nelson, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 10.30am followed by a private interment.

Dick and Jan were great neighbours to Chris ,Pat and Alan Alldred. Hospitable, generous and always there when needed. My thoughts are with you all.

It was such a privilege to work with Dick. He was a first class builder, man of honour and principle. Dick loved his family and proudly told stories of their accomplishments at smokos. He cared deeply about people and will be sadly missed. Thanks Dick for making my life richer.

Your passing came as such a shock, Dick. Swimming in the same pool with you was only an honour and a privilege. Thank you for your wicked sense of humour and example. You leave a big gap at Riverside where you will be fondly remembered.
