Reginald HACKWELL Obituary

Born July 15, 1926, passed away November 10, 2023. Loving husband of Vaila for 72 years. Father and father-in-law of Denise and Ian, Gayle, Kevin and Sylvia, and Sandee and Len. Special Grandpa to Nina, Tim, Brooke, Averil, Eldon, Melby and Eleni, and Great-grandpa to Robbie, Ben, Cooper, Jett and Aurora. Friend to many. The family would like to thank family friends, Hollis Place residents, the Brightwater Community, Access staff, the Wakefield Pharmacy, and the Doctors, District Health Nurses and Nursing staff at Wakefield Medical Centre, for their support over the years that allowed Reg and Vaila to stay in their own home until recently. Our thanks also to the St John Ambulance Service, the staff of Nelson Hospital and Summerset in the Sun for their care over the last 4 weeks. A celebration of Reg's life will be held at the Gardens of the World, Hope, Nelson, at 2.00pm on March 23, 2024.
