Peacefully at Nelson Hospital on July 21, 2025, aged 99. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Jacquie and John Bassett (Wellington), and Angus and Jeanette (Perth, Australia), and much-loved Grandad to Hamish, Elspeth, Kirsty and Caitlin. A service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at the Motueka RSA, 49 High Street, at 2.00pm on Tuesday, July 29.

Sympathy to Angus and Jeanette and Jacquie and John and families . Thinking of you all at this sad time . Ralph and Margaret were lovely to us friends of Angus when we frequented their place in Waiuku, usually to sort out some weird fancy dress outfit or similar! Love to you all from us up here in Waiuku .x
