Pruedence KING Obituary

Passed away with family by her side on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Nelson Hospital, aged 88 years.
Much loved wife and soulmate of the late Gerald King. Cherished mother of Kathryn, Julie, Nevil, Nick, Ivan, Teresa (deceased) and Alan. Mother-in-law to Richard and Janine and adored grandmother of Ari, Niko, Jay, Flynn, Bailey, Anika, Mariska, Rayner, Sarah, Tahlia and Jazmyn. Great-grandmother to Cruze Maeve and Octavia. Prue was kind and generous and we will always remember her great sense of humour and her adventurous spirit, having jumped out of an aeroplane, abseiled down the clock tower and loved
her ride on the back of a fast motorbike! Thanks to Summerset in the Sun for their wonderful care and friendship. As per Mum's wishes she was cremated and did not want a funeral. We will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
