Peter HANSEN Obituary

Peter passed away peacefully at his home on August 8, 2023, after a courageous battle. Loved and cherished husband of Christine, precious father to Megan and of course Pippadog. Son of Jess and Les and brother to Jennifer and Gail, treasured nephew of Elsa, brother-in-law to Vicki and Ross. Special uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all for his compassion, wisdom, story telling and big heart. Special thanks to Steve Delany, Oncology staff and the amazing Nelson Tasman Hospice Team and volunteers. Donations to the Nelson Tasman Hospice would be appreciated, and can be made online. The family are so grateful for the support and help of so many close friends, new and old, you know who you are. A private family cremation and service has been held as per Peter's wishes. Fly high Pete.

Christine and Megan,
So so sad and totally shocked to read this tonight. We had no idea and simply can´t believe it. We love Pete - an amazing man and a great friend. What a sad loss for all of us. I´ll call when we have processed this. Sending you our loving thoughts and deepest
