Just seen this sad news. Peter was a true gentleman and a great supporter and Board Member of the Hospice.

I first met Peter 50 years ago when I was at school with Cheryl and Gillian. He treated us to hamburgers at NZ´s first McDonalds when it opened in Porirua in ´76. At Easter he generously supplied us all with Hot Cross buns from the bakery. On my visits with Cheryl over the years he was always pleased to see me, finding out what I was up to and who we knew in common especially in the Wellington property scene. He was generous and kind and I could tell he was a very loving dad, and much loved in return. God bless you, Peter.

With a heavy heart, I remember the life of our beloved Uncle Pete, who has passed on to eternal peace. He was very kind and generous and always ready with a smile and a good story. The memories of my travels and time spent in Motueka and Kaiteri with him and Auntie Irene are cherished and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Uncle Pete led a remarkable life, filled with love and selflessness and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace Uncle Pete, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

We were so very sorry to hear of Peter's passing. Both Peter and Irene have always been in our thoughts since leaving NZ for Australia. I was privileged to have worked many years for them in their homes and properties, during which time they always welcomed me with warmth and kindest everyday. A special time in my life with wonderful memories I hold close to my heart. When I left NZ, I missed them dearly and still do. Peter was a kind and generous man and will be dearly missed by so many. Our sincere condolences to the Goodman families at this very sad time. May you both rest in peace together. Sharon & Gerald Davidson & family.
