Nick and Kim and children gave me an example of a radiant inspiring uplifting loving and faithful Christian family. I will never forget visiting them at the Deanery in Nelson where my Bretton family once lived. Thank-you for touching me with your grace and compassion, for helping my family move through an extremely difficult time with hope and love, and for your lessons on forgiveness which I am still practicing. May Kim and Family move 'Forward in Faith' as me and mine try to.

It was such an honour and privilege to have met this great and true man of God. I will always remember the warmth, wisdom, friendship and hospitality shown to me by Nick and his family during the short time I blew into Nelson not knowing anybody!! Peace be with you, Kim and the kids

Jesus said of Nathaniel, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile".
The same can be said of Nick. He lived his faith. It was a privilege to know him.

Nick, you and your family, are fondly remembered at St. Saviour's Church, Kaitaia. You blessed us in so many ways - we thank you for that. Your dying is painful to us but we know that your future is assured. May God bless you and your family.

To Kim all all Nick's family our prayers and thoughts are with you as you mourn to loss of one so loved. Nick was a true friend always bubbling over with wisdom and humour. You, his family, know first hand how good he was at loving people. The light of Jesus shone so strong in Nick's heart, it encouraged and enlightened me many many times. As a I prayed I saw a glimpse of Nick delighting in His Lord's victory. ..."in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: Death has been swallowed up in victory"

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints Psalm 116:15
I pray that this time of Nick's passing to glory will indeed be a precious time for you Kim and family and friends of Nick. He was a man of unstinting witness and uncompromising faith in Jesus.
His witness and courage in the Gospel will live on. Out of the ashes a new day will rise for Whanganui and the seeds planted by Nick will flower again.
Much love in Jesus to you Kim and family.
