(Billie) (nee Kent):
Born in Canada, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2017, at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village, aged 92, a damn good innings. Much loved wife of the late Joe. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Derek and Michele, Rod and Mary (Hawera), Brigie and Rex (Levin), Kate and Ian (Melbourne). Loved grandmother of Andrew, Joanne, Megan, Lauren, Alana and Morgan. Loved great-grandmother of Liam, Emily, Hunter and Saria. Sister of Shirley, Margaret (deceased), Diana and Tom. A special lady who touched so many, has gone to be with her beloved Joe. A private service will be held.

47 years ago Billie was a nurse in Nelson. I will never forget her as she helped with my first baby. I used to look forward to her coming on duty as she was so lovely, helpful and understanding and I have never forgotten her. To her family I am sure you had a Mother that you were proud of.

Dear Cousins!
Thinking of you all at this time and so grateful to have some lovely memories of Billie.
Thank you for the ham sandwiches Billie; the wonderful parties at Hillwood and for always welcoming me in your home when i came to visit you and Uncle Joe.
My love to you all, i wish i could be there to celebrate and farewell Billie with you.
