Just the loveliest man. Our fathers were soldiers together. So very sad.

So sad to hear of Mikes passing. I met him playing squash also. Such a lovely guy and wished I 'd spent more time in his happy funny space. Condolences to the family he will be sadly missed.

Very sad to see that Mike has passed away. I played squash with Mike at the Waimea club several years ago. He was always so friendly and as others have said would light up the room with his big smile. Condolences to the family, he will be missed by you all.

Mike you were a true gentleman a very special man kind funny and just blimmin lovely.
I have only come to know you over the last few years.
I worked for many years with the lovely Michelle my Belle you both became my beautiful friends and I'm thankful for having knowing you.

My heart aches for you all Mike's passing will leave a big hole in your lives knowing Mike he'd want you to have a beer and celebrate him as the awesome man he was and will live with you forever in your hearts in your thoughts and in your very being.
Take comfort he is now safe and comfortable and has no pain.

Mike could light up any room with a glint in his eye, his warm smile and his sense of humour.
He started off as a work colleague and ended up as a friend. Sending all our love Michelle to you and your family.
