Maureen SIDWELL Obituary
(nee Scanlon):
Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 21, 2022, with her family by her side, aged 84 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Warwick. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Grant and Shelly, Deidre and Matthew Rowe, Brendan and Verity, and the late Kerry, Nicola, and Adrian. Special Grandma of Nathan, and a loved Grandma of her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Dearly loved sister, sister-in-law and auntie of the Scanlon family. Many thanks to Nelson Hospice and Access Community Help for their care of Maureen. In lieu of flowers donations to the Nelson Tasman Hospice would be greatly appreciated and these can also be made at the service. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 204 Songer Street, Stoke on Friday, August 26, at 1.00pm. A Rosary will be recited in the church on Thursday, August 25, at 7.00pm. The Requiem Mass will be livestreamed. Please email [email protected] for log in details.

To the family of Maureen. I loved watching Maureen play the organ, her hands were so gentle on the keys. They seemed to glide over them. She was a very talented musician and will be sorely missed by many. My condolences to her family. R.I.P Maureen.
