Maria BISHOP Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Nelson Tasman Hospice on January 8, 2026, aged 65 years. Dearly loved mum of Jhary, loved sister to David (dec) and Jenny and a loved aunty of Amadeus, Duncan and Ellisha, friend to many. A service to celebrate Maria's life will be held at Hope Garden of Remembrance Crematorium Chapel, 95 Clover Road East, Hope, on Tuesday, January 13, commencing at 11.00am, for those unable to attend Maria's service will live-streamed via her tribute page on www.marsdenhouse.co.nz. Everyone is welcome to the family home 20A Koromiko Avenue, Stoke, from 1.00pm to further share memories and light refreshments. Maria will be resting at home from Saturday, January 10, until her service.

Maria was a wonderful carer for my brother David. They really gelled and had some great chats. A very generous kind lady. Sadly missed. She left us just when settling down for a well earned retirement. But typical Maria still wanted to look after her special clients after 'retirement '.

Maria was a kind caring and compassionate lady. She gave so much love to the people she cared for. My mum and dad couldn´t speak highly enough of her care, she went above and beyond. Rest In Peace.
