Margaret WATSON Obituary

WATSON, Margaret Joy
(nee Carson):
In her 88th year, passed away on May 17, 2022 supported by her family. Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving husband Russell, her children Susan, Michael and Claire, and Andrew and Leesa, her grandchildren Jessie, Evelyn, Ben and Sarah, Thomas, Hazel and Aaron, Nicholas, and Charlie, and great-grandson Riley. Margaret was the loved sister of Helen Angus and Gwynne Sutton. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village for the care and attention they have given to Margaret over the last few years. It's meant the world. A farewell gathering will be held for Margaret at Beachside Conference Centre, Beach Road, Tahunanui, on Sunday 22nd May, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Seaview Cemetery, Stoke. In light of the risks Covid poses to vulnerable people Margaret's family please ask that those attending Margaret's farewell either wear a mask, or take a RAT test prior to joining us on Sunday.

I worked with Margaret on the Hosiery Counter at Trathens, in the early 1960s. A lovely, meticulous, lady to work with. If my memory serves, Russell you were the amazing - Window Dresser. Happy memories of you both. xx
