Passed away peacefully at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village, Christchurch, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bob (Robert).

Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Sue (Susanne) and Rata McGregor (Sydney), Bob and Shirley Thomson (Prebbleton), and Jo (Joanne) Thomson (Ranfurly). Dearly loved Nana of Rebecca and Craig, Simon, Matthew and Lizzie, Robbie and Katie, Michael and Hannah, Brad and Jess, Kelly; and Emma. Loved great-Nana of 13 and great-great-Nana of one. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, Today Friday, April 30 at 10.00am, followed by burial at the Motueka Cemetery, Cemetery Road, off Old Wharf Road, Motueka, on Monday, May 3 at 1.00pm.

Margaret and Mum (Heather Haylock) were very good friends when you lived in Akaroa and continued that friendship throughout their lives. Margaret did not want to leave Akaroa and said her and Bob would return to retire there. That did not eventuate but both Margaret and Mum later became residents of Anthony Wilding retirement village in Christchurch.
Margaret had the most beautiful smile which was still with her when we saw her last year.
