Passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital after a brief stay on May 20, 2025, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Nick (dec). Dearly loved mother to Christina and loved Nana to Sabina. Loving mother-in-law of Mark Antony, and stepmother of Lucien and Steve (dec). Loved by Ashok, Nash and by all other members of her family, and her dear friends.
Thank you to the wonderful Rest Home staff of Karori Village MetLife Care, the doctors and nurses of Wellington Hospital and the ambulance staff of Wellington Free Ambulance. There will be a celebration of Margaret's life and faith at St Mary's Catholic Church Manuka Street, Nelson on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11.00am. The service will be livestreamed, please contact Marsden House for details. A Rosary will be held in the church on Monday, May 26 at 6.00pm. I was so sorry that I was away when Margaret's health deteriorated in this last part of her life's journey. It has been an honour to walk with Margaret and her family as her Chaplain at the Village. We shared many great conversations together and I hold tenderly her stories and memories that she shared with me. Margaret you have added to my life journey and I thank you that you allowed me to be part of yours. Your journey now continues, and you are with those who have gone before you. The Lord holds you in his arms and I hold you and your family in my prayers. Until we meet again Margaret. Blessings Wendy
