NZ Army 30202. 2NZEF WW2 to Egypt and Italy then J Force Japan. Chief Engineer NZ Army and NZ Commander to Vietnam 1968-71 - served 32 years for his country. Peacefully at Metlifecare Coastal Villas Care Home on Sunday, December 20, 2020, 5 days before his 96th birthday. Dearly loved husband of Joan, father of Rosemary, Peter and Ross; father-in-law of Julie, Grandad of Marina, Kelly, Casey, Sam and Georgia; Great-Grandad of Diego and Willow. Brother of Beryl. He will be sadly missed by his all his family and the staff at Coastal Villas, who have cared for him for the last 2 years. A service to celebrate Ken's Life will be held at Kapiti Coast Funeral Home, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, at 2.00pm on Friday, January 8, 2021, followed by cremation at Kapiti Crematorium. Ken's service will be live-streamed, details on the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home website.
