Very saddened to read of Alan's passing. He was one of the" Three Alan's" , along with their wives, who would gather at our place back in the 90's, for some of the A B's test matches....those were the days....great memories. Gail was also a good friend, and sadly missed. I will remember him as being very capable ,and sincere. My condolences go to his sons and their families.

We were saddened to hear of Alan´s passing. Alan came to our rescue in 1991 when we were planning the build of our home. Dissatisfied with the architects working drawings, Alan visited our building site in Yateley Place and within a week had designed our home of 32 years!!! We LOVE our home and have often told Alan this over the years. He was a genuine, talented, lovely man with amazing skills. Our home is part of his legacy ... he made a difference to many people´s lives - of that I am SURE!

Alan was a caring and considerate man and was a great help to us when he designed the plans for our home that was built in 1992. The home has worked well for us and our family. Alistair and Kathy Ferguson.

My thoughts are with the family of Alan. I did not kow Alan well but Gail was one of my best friends having worked together and having our children at the same time. I kept in touch with Gail right though until her sad passing. Sorrow is a sign of how much a person was loved. Your many memories will keep him alive in your hearts forever

Sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Sincere condolences to Alan's family. I went to Rahotu school with both Alan and Gail. I hadn't seen Alan since attending Gail's funeral in Nelson where my wife and I now live. RIP Alan.
