Kaye LEADER Obituary

LEADER, Kaye:
Passed away peacefully at home in Richmond, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Much loved wife of Bill, mum to William and Jane, and nana to Anna and Seb, and loved sister and sister-in-law of Jo and Paul, Pip, Carole and John, Bill and Janet, Maurice and Helen, and Ken and Mary. Loved aunty to her nieces and nephews and a thoughtful and generous friend to many. A huge thank you to our wonderful family and friends for their love, support and kindness. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Cancer Society and Nelson Tasman Hospice for all their care and support in the last few months. A celebration of Kaye's life will be advised at a later date.

Bill and Kaye were my host family back in 2005. I was just trying to find out if they`re still living at the same place...but instead, I found this. It breaks my heart to see you go, Kaye. I`m forever grateful for your warm and kind hospitality when I came to explore New Zealand, barely grown up. I miss coming home to a pre-heated blanket after a night out in snowy Christchurch, I miss having Weetabix for breakfast, and I miss gossiping about politics in front of the telly, with a nice cup of earl grey. You guys made my stay unforgettable. Fond memories, indeed! Goodbye Kaye, rest in peace.

Remembering a lovely lady without whom we would have been an enthusiastic but disorganised bunch- happy and fun times with the Breast of Life Dragonboat team- fond memories indeed. My thoughts go to you Bill on your loss-
