Judith HIENER Obituary

Mrs Hiener was both my form teacher and took the class for social studies. I remember her reading a short story she had written about a young girl witnessing the ugly face of racism in South Africa. It was a powerful story and I remember the intensity of feeling emanating from Mrs Hiener.

Mrs Heiner as I knew her, was an inspirational English teacher at Nayland College. I was so fortunate to be in her and Mr Heiners drama class in my senior years. Recently I met her again at Coastal View Care Centre when visiting my Mum here. I loved to stop and chat with her. She was such a character and I will miss her.

Mrs Hiener made a positive profound impression on me in my College years back in the 70´s. I´m grateful x Her family must know how she special she was. RIP

Judy Heiner was such an inspirational and memorable English teacher during my Nelson College for Girls days. I feel lucky to have had her as my teacher all those years ago.

Judy Hiener was a very dear friend of mine.
I delivered talking books to her for many years and loved our chats. I feel thankful to have seen her this week. Nadene
