Mr. Carter, Kevin, Julie, Rhys, & Skye.
I want to express my deepest condolences to you all.
I am shocked, and saddened to hear of Gareth's passing.
I have not seen Gareth in years, however growing up as a teenager next door to him, Kevin, Mr. & Mrs. Carter is very memorable indeed.
Golf, tennis, and 1 on 1 basketball were the sports we played.
The convenience of being able to walk next door, smash a few balls across the net, and shooting some hoops was more than fun. It was amazing.
Being driven to West View Golf Course by Mrs. Carter in her sporty red Subaru to play a round of 18, and sometimes 27 holes was even more adventurous, and fun.
Gareth was %99 of the time the victor, and when I was able win a game, it was not by much at all.
His laugh, and jolly attitude will always be remembered.
I remember when Gareth, Kevin, and myself refurbished kettles for his Dad. He was the master planner, and I just had to watch and learn. He made everything look easy.
I remember when Gareth, and I refurbished fire extinguishers for Mr. Murphy.
We were both on the same playing field seeing who could do the most each day. Again, he conquered!
Going to see Cory Hart at the CNE, INXS with the Head Pins opening up at Canada's Wonderland were just a few other activities I was fortunate to share with Gareth.
Gareth was a master grass cutter back in the day on the tractor. Yes he was!
Before he was able to drive a car, he sure could drive that tractor, and knew how to cut grass in record time.
Before we got our own tractor he would even help out on our property, allowing my job to become a bit easier, as there was lots, and lots of grass to cut by push mower.
What I know to be true about Gareth is that he was a considerate individual who would help almost anywhere, and anytime.
I have read his story regarding Julie, Rhys & Sky, whom I have have not had the pleasure to meet.
I have read how much he loved Julie, and how his children were his everything.
His business success is not surprising one bit.
Rhys, & Skye, everything you think, and know about your father is true.
He was genuine, amazing, and fun to be around.
I again, am sorry to hear of this sad news, and my condolences go out to all you, and all those who knew, and loved Gareth.
Most Sincerely,
Brad Fiegehen.
