Josephine THORN Obituary

THORN, Josephine Mary, on August 7, 2014, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 87 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Cecil and Ivy Thorn, a much loved member of the Lessels, Thorn, Manson, and Delaney families, and special cousin of Lynly Yates, and Judith Savage. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Josephine Thorn, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Service to celebrate Josephine's life will be held in our AvonPark Chapel, corner Kerrs and Pages Roads, Linwood, Christchurch, on Tuesday, August 12, at 10.00am. Burial thereafter at Karori Cemetery, Wellington.

So sad to hear of Jo's passing. She was a great friend to the cats and a member of Cats' Protection League (Canterbury) for many years.

I was very saddened to hear of Jo's passing she was a very brave lady with a huge amount of energy and gave us strength through the earthquakes with how amazing she coped with all that she was faced with , she loved our cats and we hers - may you be at peace Jo - some people you never forget in life and you are one of those special people - I still have photos of your car engulfed with liquifaction! All our lv n hugs to your family xoxo
