1 May 1940 - 17 January 2024
Died at Nelson Hospital on Wednesday, with family at his side. Dearly loved husband of Jan, father of Annie and Richard, grandfather of Jessica, Isi and Sophie, father-in-law of Kerry and Phil. A service will be held Tuesday, January 23, at 1.00pm, at Onekaka Hall, Golden Bay, followed by refreshments at the Mussel Inn at 3.00pm. Snacks will be provided, but a plate to share would be welcome.
Many thanks to the Golden Bay Community Hospital and Nelson Hospital for their wonderful care in his last moments.

Kia ora Jan, Anne & Richard, I'm sorry this is so out of time but it was only today that I learned of John's passing, it was from our son Jeff. John was my boss for 8 years and it is only looking back I realize what a pain in butt I was and how understanding he was. Iam pleased I did get to let him know this. John is kindly and gratefully remembered by me. And you are in my thoughts. Kindest regards Dennis Hughes
