You are gone but will never be forgotten. Thank you for all your kindness and love over the years, with allowing me to come and stay with my cousins Nigel, Gill and Pip on the farm. We had so much fun.

Please accept our deepest sympathies in Jack´s passing.
Although we have only been neighbours a short time, Jack was very welcoming when we moved into the apartment. We shared several "happy hours " and thoroughly enjoyed his stories . He very kindly gave us both of his books. We thoroughly enjoyed them, especially
the wonderful love story .
Rest in peace Jack . A great life well lived.

My husband, Mike, and I owe everything to Jack.
Mike left boarding school at 16. He came home to find his dad was dying. He had never milked a cow and suddenly found he was supporting a Mum and junior siblings on an uneconomic farm.
Mike met Jack at Jaycee and as his consultant in the Golden Bay Farm Improvement Club. Jack and other older Jaycee members such as Andy Joseph, Bill Baldwin, Allan Swafford taught Mike to chill out playing 5 cent poker yet help him to gain confidence in himself and his farming enterprise.
Through leadership example he gave Mike confidence to enter farming politics and leadership roles.
Thank you, Jack. Our family will never forget your contribution to the family business. rest peacefully friend.

To the Harte family. My condolences on Jack´s passing. A man of great character and of many happy memories for Christine and I. Time spent with Jack and Barbara down at McLaren´s Bay will be especially, and fondly, remembered. Kind regards Barry
