To the Three Musketeers; Alana, Adam and Tim.

My first recollection of John was when Anne brought him home to 'meet the parents'. He was a tall, lanky, handsome dude with a quick wit. Anne had fallen for him hook, line and sinker. It was inevitable that marriage and children soon followed.

I have fond memories of my visits to 157 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson. Sitting around the kitchen table hearing one of Johns many stories. I enjoyed listening, he was a great story teller. He was also a great artist. I could never fathom why he never sold any of his drawings. Awesome cartoon figures of Scotsman. No surprises there, he loved his ancestry . He also loved a good project like cooking haggis, smoking venison or a trip to Tennyson Inlet to catch a fish.

As a brother-in-law he was part of my life for many years. Today, I wish to pay my respects to him and to you and your families. Also, Becky, Tom, Jim and their families.

Lots of Love
