I knew John for over 40 years. The world needs more John Beeching's. He was a complete gentleman. Well read, highly intelligent, and great fun. I loved our time together. I was so fortunate to call him my friend. Rest in peace John. I will miss you intensely and feel so grateful I saw you and Wendy recently. All my love to his family. Rose

I first met John at the old RSA club rooms in Rutherford St. had many great conversations and plenty of laughs,John did`nt like swearing, said it was poor command of the English language! and boy was he intelligent, when my late Son was at high school and didn`t know homework questions it was on the phone to Mr Beeching John always had the answers. To John`s entire family please accept my most sincere sympathy,a great man.

Sad to hear of his passing.Mr. Beeching, as he was to us,lived in a bach on our Matipo Tce farm between Princes Dr., and Nlsn hospital in the 1960s.He was held in high regard by my late parents. And to we children he was always cheerful and kind- we even had the honour of attending his wedding.Deepest sympathy to his loved ones. Gabriel King-Turner.
