I was so saddened to hear that Jean had passed away. She was the most dearest, precious and faithful friend to my dear Mum, Margaret Houliston. Both now in Heaven and able to chat again, like they did on earth almost every day. Condolences to you Merv and I know Mum would want to say thank you to you for how wonderful you both were to her during her life. Thinking of you all.

We were extremely fortunate to build Jean and Merv's home in recent years, and we very quickly developed a special rapport with them both. Although Jean's mobility wasn't the best at the time, it didn't affect her sharp mind, for which we admired greatly. An amazing lady whose legacy will live on for a very long time.

We would like to send our condolences to the family and in particular, Merv, who we know will be grappling with the loss of his darling soulmate.

There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone.
Our beautiful times that we have shared with you all as a family will be in our hearts forever. Our holiday in Sydney and also up at the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. Mum and Dads met you both about 60 years ago and time that they spent working in New Zealand and also going over for Catherine's wedding will be treasured forever. Our beautiful birthday cards and messages that Aunty Jean sent to us as kids are treasured.
To Uncle Merv, Catherine, Jeanette, Murray, Joanne and families we send you our love and prayers at this time. We will miss Aunty Jean greatly.
All our Love, From your Aussie Family Noreen, Julieanne, Cameron & Christopher, Sharon, Pete, Mikaela & Daniel, Stuart.

Farewell Jean, faithful and loved friend of Daphne and Ray Davis and the Davis family. Your faithful love and attentiveness to Mum and Dad, especially when you were ever-present when Dad was so ill, has never been forgotten and deeply appreciated. You and Merv were so true to Mum in her long life for so many years and we honour you for that. Our hearts go out to Merv and the family as they grieve your passing. Thank you and we give thanks for you and your peace at last. Blessings
