We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend from the pilot group coffee mornings. He was a remarkable individual whose flying career inspired many of our great conversations. His passion for aviation and his warm spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time. I was very sad to hear of Jimmy's passing.
I enjoyed working with Jimmy during the time I was with HNZ.
He was a mint of information, which he was always keen to share. Jimmy was a genuinely nice guy.
My condolences to Lesley and Family.

Aside from being one of the longest standing friends of the Martin family, Jim stands out as one of the most level headed pilots I´ve had the pleasure of knowing. His ability to calculate a risk and carry out an operation within acceptable boundaries set him apart from most.
He truly changed the game with his abilities, particularly in writing operational guidelines in his various senior roles in the rotary wing sector.
He set and maintained the highest standards.
