James SCANLON Obituary

Born July 2, 1936, died peacefully September 30, 2024 at Nelson Hospital. Dearly loved husband of the late Claudia Wysocki. Loving father of Tracey and Clare and proud grandfather of his 3 grandchildren Peter, Mackenzie, and Delaney. In accordance with his wishes a private cremation has been held and a family interment is planned.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

I will always remember your kindness to me Jim when I was a young student Nurse at Wellington Hospital. Several times you took myself and two Nursing friends to the White Heron Lodge ( as it was then !! ) for Dinner when you were working in Wellington. We felt very spoilt!! Reunited with your lovely Claudia. God Bless - Cousin Margaret Chiaroni ( nee Power )
