James BERTRAM Obituary

JP (retired) On Friday, October 25, 2024, in Christchurch Public Hospital, aged 97 years. Resident of Summerset at Avonhead, formerly of Nelson, born in Greymouth. Loved husband of Mollie. Dearly loved father of Janet and Gavin, father-in-law of Roger, and Grandpa of Neva, Isla and Emily. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Garth and Beverley, and uncle of Lynette and Ian. Many thanks to the staff of Summerset at Avonhead Care Centre and Woodcote Village Resthome for their care of Bruce over the last year. Also to hospital staff in ED, Medical Assessment and Ward 16 for acute care. A private cremation was held on Wednesday, October 30.

Bruce was a Scout leader when I grew up in Greymouth and I met him again in Nelson. A gentleman RIP
