Hone MAKATEA Obituary

MAKATEA, Hone Tairei (John Archie Dellow), peacefully at home, on December 18, 2013; aged 57. Treasured son of the late John and Muriel Dellow. Dearly loved partner of Robin. Much loved Dad of Marlon and Annie, (the late) Jade, Savana and Ben, Tyler and Alianna, Courtney and Brendan, Te Whetutapu, Te Matai, Tamati, Talya, and Shay. Loved Koro of Bailey. Loved brother of Carolyn, and Christine. A loved uncle and friend. Much loved by all the Makatea family. Hone is lying at the Whakatu Marae, 99 Atawhai Drive, Nelson. His funeral service will be held at the Marae on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11am followed by interment at the Marsden Valley Lawn Cemetery, Marsden Valley Road, Nelson.

On Tues. Hone left a recording on my phone saying..he was back in the hospital, prognosis was not good, but.. the day was beautiful and he was still here.
