Helen NEWMAN Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Green Gables Rest Home, Nelson. Dearly loved wife of the late Gerald, and loved mother and mother-in-law of Tim and Adrienne (Wellington), Matthew and Lynnae (Auckland), Greg and Jo (Blenheim), Andrew and Kirsty (Hawke's Bay), Julian and Robyn (Christchurch). Much loved Grandmother of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rest In Peace

A Requiem Mass will be held in St Mary's Catholic Church, Manuka Street, Nelson, on Tuesday, August 20 at 11.00am, then leaving at 1.00pm for Marsden Valley Cemetery. Helen's service will be livestreamed, please contact Marsden House for the livestream link.

Helen was my teacher in Std Four at St Joseph´s School. I remember her as a kind teacher.

My condolences . I was sorry to miss Helen´s funeral. I taught with Helen at Stoke 1983 as a beginning teacher- she overawed me at the time!
Enjoyed seeing her occasionally in later days ...
