Sincere condolences to family and friends. Good memories of Greg aka "Army Surplus Olsen" at ATC camps, as a flatmate and fellow Seido Karate student. Another good bloke gone too soon. RIP Greg.

Thanks Greg for creating some of my fondest childhood memories.
The Red Hats! The costumes. The Canon. It was all marvellous and fun.
When I think of you I remember the cosines of your home, the smell of smoke and leather, how you used to make me laugh.
I hadn't caught up with you for a while and the news of your passing fills me with regret and sadness.
Love you "uncle" Greg, will think of you always.

So sorry to read this sad news of Gregs passing and send sincere condolences to his extended family. This selfless human being made our family holidays at Mapua Leisure Park back in the 80's and 90's something to look forward to every year and treasure. Our young children at that time, just waited to hear that fire truck ring out three times a day. Greg gave so much time to the holiday makers and there families. Thank you Greg. We have many photos of your back paintings on our children as memories. RIP.

Sad to hear of Greg's passing a great friend from our Nelson College days. Was then keen for Army career but unfortunately not to be.
Rest in peace my friend will be remembered

I have known you since we hung around together in the Nelson College days 1965-1969. So sad that you are no longer with us.
